Friday 24th July – saw us hold another successful and well attended “QUIZ NIGHT”

Some rather challenging rounds of  questions – but great fun, especially the 2 Ding Bat rounds.

Once again, we held a Raffle with some excellent prizes – and as always, a great night was had by all.

A big thank you to John the Quiz Master and as always, our excellent bar staff for keeping everything running smoothly.

The 2026 World Cup

Wednesday 15th July

Oh Well !!!!!!

Another semi-final, another dissappointing defeat!!!

But we almost did it – such a shame……

Another packed and lively Churchill House – watched our English lions try their best – but just couldn’t quite get over the finishing line – losing to the Argies in the final 7 mins of the game.

Thank you to all who came along to Churchill House to watch all the England games – we enjoyed your company and the atmosphere it created.

Saturday 11th July

Saw another ‘lively’ night down here at Churchill House when we hosted the nail biting World Cup Quarter Final game between England v Norway.

With it being a 10pm kick-off and a game that went into Extra Time – another packed Churchill House was buzzing with emotion when England ended up 2-1 winners – a fantastic performance from the boys.

Now onto the Semi-Finals, so look out for an announcement from the Club with details of us screening the game ‘live’ on our TV.

Wednesday 1st July- WORLD CUP fever was in full swing down here at Churchill House – when we were packed to the rafters for  the England v DR Congo game – and what an atmosphere it was, as England came just about scraped through with a 2-1 victory.

Friday 12th June

Saw us host yet another successful and really enjoyable QUIZ NIGHT.

Our Quiz Night’s here at Churchill House are proving to be one of our most popular events – and, following feedback from Club Members, we are looking to host them on a more regular basis.

So – keep your eyes open for info on the next Quiz Night date – and remember, to book yourself a table early, to ensure you get to join us in what is always a thoroughly enjoyable night’s entertainment.

A big ‘Thank You’ to Andy & Allison for the fantastic job they did in putting the Quiz together – and, as always, to the Churchill House bar staff for their hard work in keeping everything running smoothly – a great time was had by all.

Friday 22nd May

Saw us host another really well attended and very enjoyable ‘QUIZ NIGHT’…..

Yet another night where  Churchill House was packed to the rafters – standing room only.

A quiz of 5 quite tough rounds plus a Dingbat on films – both of which really got the old brain cells working.

As well as that we held a Raffle that had some fantastic prizes.

As with all our events down here at Churchill House – a great night of entertainment where a good time was had by all.

Sunday 17th May – Was another entertaining music Sunday here at Churchill House – when the popular local favourite “KIMBERLEY CROSS” returned to our Club to perform her fabulous “DIVA CABARET” set – entertaining us with some all time classic from some of popular music’s greatest diva’s.     As you can see from the photos – a good time was had by all and we look forward to Kimberley returning again

Friday 17th April

We followed up last week’s successful ‘Grand National Day’ – with a “RACE NIGHT” here at Churchill House…..and what a great night it was too!!!

Churchill House was packed to the rafters – standing room only – and a great atmosphere throughout as Club Members had a punt on 7 races plus an auction race – such fun, as the gallery of photos below shows.

A big thank you to the Club Committee and all involved in arranging this really enjoyable night of entertainment – and to our excellent bar-staff who worked tirelessly to keep the drinks flowing….a great night was had by all.

*Saturday 11th April

What a great time we had here at Churchill House hosting our very own “Grand National Day”

From the first race of the day, right through to the iconic big one at 4pm and beyond – the Club was absolutely buzzin’ with a great atmosphere – it was just like being at Aintree !!!

We held Sweepstakes for each race – there was a Raffle and even a Grand National Quiz.

As well as all that, a group of Club members very kindly and generously put on a fantastic spread of hot food that included spag bol / chilli con carne / sausages and a load more.

A big thank you to the Committee and Bar Staff for making it such an enjoyable day and to Steve + Christine+Tiffany for keeping us so well fed throughout.

As you will see from the photos below – a good time was had by all.

*Saturday 21st March

Saw a great night here at Churchill House – when we hosted a fantastic “Motown-Music Night”.

The fabulous singer *JB ROSE*, who was making her debut at our Club – entertained us with a brilliant set of all time Motown and Soul classics.

As you can see from the selection of photos we have posted of the event – there was a big turn-out and its fair to say that a great time was had by all.

We shall be looking to get JB Rose back at the Club again in the not too distant future…..’watch this space’

*Fri 27th Feb

Our 1st ‘Quiz Night’ of the year saw a massive turn out with every table/chair taken – standing room only.

Quiz Nights at Churchill House just keep getting more and more popular.

It was cracking night – enjoyed by all.

A big thanks to Quiz Master ‘Andy’ and the Checker ‘Alison’ for all their hard work in putting the event together – plus – also a big thank you to the Buffalo’s for organising and running the ‘Help for Heroes’ raffle….well done.

Sunday 1st Feb – we kicked-off our first entertainment afternoon of the year with the return of popular singer “MARK WALKER” – who provided us with a great afternoon of musical entertainment.

COME ON ENGLAND On Sunday 27th July – 2025 we all sat in front of the tv at Churchill House to watch the amazing ENGLAND LADIES win the UEFA WOMEN’S EURO FINAL-2025  – a great afternoon at the Club and a buzzin atmosphere !!

On Sunday 20th July – we held an “OPEN DAY” event here at Churchill House – and what a success it was too – not an empty seat in the house !!

An afternoon of great music  was provided by “Karl Jacey” who performed his entertaining ‘Tribute to Swing‘ set of all time classics.

An enjoyable time was had by all !!!!
